Welcome to the CSDF Lab

The Cyber Security & Digital Forensics Lab is a research laboratory within the Department of Forensic Sciences at Sungkyunkwan University, directed by Doowon Jeong. Our primary goal is to establish both a technical and legal foundation for digital evidence-based forensics to aid in (cyber) crime prevention, detection, and investigation. We research digital forensic technologies, including identification, restoration, search, acquisition, and analysis. Furthermore, we explore digital forensic practices such as tools, processes, skills, environments, and ethics. Additionally, we engage in activities involving the analysis and recommendations regarding legal and policy matters related to information security and criminal investigations.
